Race Report 04/06/19

After a feast of races last weekend, it was something of a famine this week, with members perhaps saving themselves for the next HDSRL fixture at Ripon on Tuesday!  15 members were involved with Park Runs, with 5 out of the entry of 426 at Fountains Abbey.  Ian Crane, testing himself and trying to overcome a reccurring injury, 171st in 27.48, Nigel Morgan 212th in 29.03, Linda Bamforth 271st in 31.30, Ian Codling 387th in 39.14 and Marian Codling 395th in 40.05.

It was the 200th running of the Northallerton Park Run – congratulations to all involved – and Lorraine Hiles was 2nd lady finisher, 25th out of 181 in 22.58. It was good to see Steven Scott out again, 46th in 26.19.

Andy Butcher at Catterick came 114th out of 289 in PB 21.26. Alan Pollock at Sedgefield was 185th out of 485 in 26.49.  Jack Spence at Newcastle was another with a PB time, 29th out of 692 in 19.44, and at Livingston, Bryan Miller came a superb 6th out of 356 in yet another PB, 19.35.

At Richmond (the other Richmond!), the Coy family were out in force, with Martyn a very good 84th out of 580 in 23.08, 13 year old Lilly 365th in 31.30, Reuben 444th in 35.43 and Mum, Faith, 445th in 35.45.

The previous weekend, Lilly at the Melmerby Fun Run took 21.35.

It’s time to get your entries in for the Sessay Swift 6k, Aug 21st, 7.30pm start, from Sessay Village Hall, details on TSH website or click here to enter.  Bring some money for a barbeque, laid on by Sessay Cricket Club.
