Race Report 01/10/19
The 16th race in the Club Championship race, the Redcar Half Marathon, took place on Sun with 9 members out of the 761 finishers involved on the forecast wet morning, with a breeze thrown in for good measure! Tom Levi, in brilliant form now, came in 13th in a PB time of 1.19.44, with Josh Fothergill 106th in 1.33.55. Esther Harrison was next, 214th in 1.43.38, David Tervit 1.44.57, Faith Coy 526th in 2.00.47, closely followed by Heather Bell 529th in 2.01.09. Congratulations, Heather, on coming 2nd in your age group. Phillip Craig was 592nd in 2.07.32, Alison Butcher 649th in 2.15.38 and accompanied by husband Andy, still nursing an injury, 650th in 2.15.40.
Ian and Marian Codling opted for the Zetland 10k, all part of a Redcar Festival of running. There was a field of 400 for this, and Ian took 1.17.52, Marian 1.21.48. Both were on flat out and back courses along the sea front.
