The course is mostly traffic free but there could be farm vehicles, especially if it’s dry. Harvest is under way. Take the bends/corners on the outside to give you a good view of what is ahead. Remember this race is slightly longer than you are used to so please hydrate well in advance of when you intend to run. The two turn around points are at the place where the round bales are no longer (!) and the traffic cone placed at the Thirsk side of Plump Bank Farm entrance.  If you are still not quite sure about where you are going then Marc will have a photo to mark the appropriate place and point you in the right direction.

World Mountain Running Championship! ( Virtual of course!! )   13th to 16th  August.
5 miles/ 1200′  This is also the James Herriot trail club championship race. ( two for the price of one) For some this will be the ultimate summer challenge.
If you haven’t already, please get your entries in NOW, this weekend, as the teams will be selected this weekend. This is open to members/ guests and friends alike. However, if you miss the team draw individuals can still take part, you just won’t be part of a team.
The link to the map of the course is below. It is all marked out and is ready to go. If it is wet you will need some form of traction on your feet, it is quite steep in places. Please spend some time to get familiar with where you are going.
