Rob’s Weekly Blog – w/c 21/04/14

Monday 21st April.   Athletic Club 7pm Probably the back field behind the squash courts.
Remember it is bank holiday but Sonja will be taking a session.

Wednesday 23rd April. Athletic Club. 7pm .
On the Cricket field. Lets use it while we can!!   Peter will be taking us for the first part of the session once more. Please try not to upset him as it is hard enough as it is!! He didn’t seem to like us very much last night did he? For those who took part for the first time, you should be walking without pain by the week end.

We will be starting the run session approx 7.30.
2 x (5 x 2 min/ 1 rec)   3 minutes between sets.  Just to put on a little bit more pressure we will only have 30secs recovery between efforts 4 and 5 in each set. Sounds complicated but its not. Its just hard work and a very, very big session.  But you can and have all done it before.  It just sounds worse the older you get!!

75 members have paid (up front ) for numbers to run in the summer evening races. We only used to get rid of half this number when we were giving them away!!

 Best wishes,
Rob

Hello club members and friends of the Thirsk 10 road race. We would just like to provide a brief update to inform everybody that for obvious reasons the Thirsk 10 race will not be held in March 2021 however, we intend to reassess the situation in the Spring with a view to holding the event later in the year subject to national and local restrictions in place at the time. We apologise for the disappointment this will undoubtably cause, however I am sure that everybody appreciates that the Covid 19 Pandemic is a fluid situation with rules and restrictions seemingly changing on a daily basis. We will provide a further update in once we have been able to consider matters. Assuring you of our best intentions at all times, keep running and stay safe. The Thirsk 10 Team.
