NY/SD cross-country at The Old Race Course, Low Moor, Richmond.

This is a Club Championship race, a difficult but testing course to do but if it was easy then everyone would want to run it! You may get away with just a stud but if you are feeling good and are in good shape then a light spike would be ideal. Be prepared for the wind as it’s very open. Please bring your club vest but if you don’t have one then you need to get one ASAP.

New club tent will be on site; if anyone would like to take charge and look after the tent, please have a chat with either myself (Duncan) or Marian.

We as a club encourage you to car share if possible, also helps with the parking at the industrial estate.


Back to school we go – 7pm Thirsk school. Inside with Sonja, hopefully not too hard after Richmond.

Or outdoor session. This week will be focusing on running again and will take place on the school field. We will meet in the school gym first. 10 mins warm up outside then 40 mins of (5 mins + 2 mins recovery) x 6.


Social run from Thirsk and Sowerby leisure centre at 7pm (meet in foyer) on well-lit paths and pavements. Suitable for all abilities; there will be several stops to run back/regroup, no-one runs by themselves or gets left behind. New and returning Tuesday night runners always welcome.
Route to be decided on the night, around 5 miles. Please wear high vis if you have it.


Back to school we go – 7pm Thirsk school with Liv/ Charlotte.

Paul/Jody will manage inside running.

Outside. 2 x 2,3,4 min/1 min rec. 2 min between sets.


Stockton 5k Winter Trail – Tees Barrage
Tees Barrage, The Beefeater Talpore, Whitewater Way, Thornaby, Stockton-on-Tees TS17 6QB
Totally New to these Winter Series this 5k trail is open to any level of ability from a club runner to a recreation runner. This exciting route offers a mix of terrain from tarmac to woodland. Taking in the watercourse, running along the Tees then into the scenic woodland.
Registration 09:00 – 09:45 at the Talpore Restaurant (upstairs), race starts at 10:00

Please note: that full payment must be paid at registration (cash only). Cost: £5 if affiliated, £7 if unattached.
FREE car parking. Not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs. No dogs allowed.

Stockton 5k Winter Trail Series is good, usually 10am start. All near to Stockton, Feb 25th – Tees Barrage then on Mar 25th – Ropner Park.

Helmsley 10K Run – 1st April 10am, multi terrain race partly on road, partly on forestry track and footpaths and fields
