Route to be decided on the night, around 5 miles. Please wear high vis.

WEDNESDAY 11TH DECEMBER  (club training night)

6.45pm Christmas Handicap, Sowerby Gateway Trail. Allotment car park opposite school bus car park!! Remember there are no lights so approach with caution. Keep left as runners will be gathering on the right hand side and hopefully doing some warm ups!!

First runners will start around 7 20 pm, the forecast is cold so please wear something warm whether you are running or recording. Before the start everyone is to run around the course in an anti clockwise direction so you get an idea of where you are going!! and also to get used to the low level lighting. We bought the lights so it will enable you to see where the money has been spent.

The start is at the 200 metres to go line. Stay on the red track until you have run almost one full lap ( 300 metres to go) when you will be directed to the black track as everyone will not have yet started. Once everyone has started you can take either red or black, it doesn’t matter because they are both the same length. The length of the race is 3.K ( 2 mile)  Everyone to wear head torch and hi-vis top, to see and to be seen please.

We need around 3 little helpers, if not then please will the first one or two to finish grab a pen and paper ASAP.

There will be prize giving and nibbles at the Athletic Club afterwards. Paul and Steph will be available for you to purchase drinks from so lets have a happy, smiley night together and celebrate the fact we’re having fun and it’ll soon be Christmas.

If it is icy and we have to cancel then we will use the Station road. If we have snow then Its the Athletic Club.

I have to lock the access gate once we are inside. If you think you may be a little bit late to arrive ( after 7pm) then you need to contact me (Rob) I have ways and means to give you entry.

 THURSDAY 12TH DECEMBER  (social run*)

7pm sharp, Starting from Kilburn just past the white houses (winter route).

Bring a clean t-shirt and some beer tokens for refreshments afterwards.

* social runs are not a club training night and therefore not covered by our insurance.  Please enjoy these nights under your own risk.
