TUESDAY 3RD SEPTEMBER  (social run*)

Social run from Thirsk and Sowerby leisure centre at 7pm (meet in foyer). Mostly off road depending on the weather. Suitable for all abilities; there will be several stops to run back/regroup, no-one runs by themselves or gets left behind. New and returning Tuesday night runners always welcome.

Route to be decided on the night, around 5 miles. Please wear high vis if you have it. Trail shoes not essential but can be worn if you have them.

WEDNESDAY 4TH SEPTEMBER  (club training night)

7.10 start Wass bank top. Summer handicap. This year will be the same as last year, forestry trail with a few small climbs in it. Two mile long as usual. Park at the entrance to the forestry which is on the West side just at the top of Wass bank. You can arrive either by Sutton Bank or the caravan route via Coxwold but turn off to drive up Wass Bank. Enter forestry to go clockwise ( left turn) and the start line is approx. half a mile from the entrance. The finish is at the entrance to the forest close to where you park your car.

The start of the race is on a slight incline which levels out after around 300 metres, for the next 300 metres you can get your breath back just in time to climb the next hill which is just a little bit ( lot) steeper than the last one. One at the top you turn right then it’s all gently, gently flat out downhill to the finish. Anyone and everyone who runs and helps will get a prize, presentation will be straight after the race and please bring a few nibbles for us all to enjoy in the forest entrance. It is forecasting much warmer and there may be a few flies about. You may need some insect repellent!! We need one or two helpers if you don’t fancy the run!!

7pm sharp, Starting from Hunters lane, Nether Silton.

Bring a clean t-shirt and some beer tokens for refreshments afterwards at Gold Cup, Nether Silton YO7 2JZ

* social runs are not a club training night and therefore not covered by our insurance.  Please enjoy these nights under your own risk.
