Weekly Blog w/c 26/08/13

Thank you to all those who came to my 60th last Friday. I hope you enjoyed it. It was good to see some family, friends and runners from the past( And the future). We also raised £600 for the Mo Farah Foundation. For those wanting some of the birthday cake Christine made me. Well, hard luck. I had the last slice this morning!!

Sessay Swift Six. Perfect night and perfect running conditions. Thank you Marian. It’s just what we all needed. Did we get any PB’s? I was a minute faster than last year but that’s not really a PB.  For those who do not have a club vest I will bring some to the next club night training session. ( I did spot a few not wearing them but I’ll pretend I didn’t. )

Monday 26th August. 7pm Osgodby Bank Car Park. ( Between Bagby and Kilburn) I know it is Bank Holiday, Sonja and Suni are on their hols but I don’t mind taking a session in the woods and we can do a few Slope (Not Hills) strides just to keep the legs ticking over. Too much sitting about doesn’t do you much good.

Wednesday 28th August. 7pm Prompt!! Summer Handicap. Wass Woods. LHS( WEST) and we run clockwise. We do need time keepers. Please. The start is a few minutes jog from the gate. The distance is approx. two and a bit miles long. ( we had four different measurements last year!!) There are also a couple of short hills, both in the first half of the race. Everyone who runs gets a prize. Please bring nibbles and we can pool them and have prize giving down in Wass at brother Mervs. All welcome.
