Ian Codling

I have completed 800 races since I started running in 2001. Prior to
that, I played football until my hip gave way when I was 47. I had it
replaced 6 years later, and it has worked well ever since. So you see
that I am not a runner but someone who runs – there is a difference!
My 10k PB came at Wiggington in 2005 when I was 64 and I managed 47.38.
I completed the London Marathon in 2004 and 2007, and did many half
marathons in those early years, including half a dozen Great North Runs.
My favourite distance is 10k, and I hope to keep going a little bit
longer, if my troublesome knee will let me, and if Rob and Sonja can
continue to put up with me.
