Rob’s Weekly Blog and Training Update w/c 25/09/16

Monday 26th September Thirsk School. 6.50pm.

If dry, outside. Try and wear something that glows in the dark!!!

Wednesday 28th October. 7pm Thirsk school.

Inside for drills and spills followed by Monthly time trial, station road. Exact distance is 2 miles, honest.

Cross Country Relays. Thirsk Flatts. 2nd October.

Duncan will have sent you all the details and I’m sorry to say but these do clash with a club championship fell race. I apologise for this because I am mostly to blame but then it seemed easier as time went on to leave it as it is rather than change everything around. I tried to look at this positively and did work it out that if anyone wanted to do both, then it was quite possible to do so, just don’t spend too much time with your cool downs after the fell race!!

There will be an under 11’s race, a distance of 1 mile but this is not a relay and I just wondered if there are some Mums and Dads who want their little ones to run. The under 13’s and 15’s are relay races however it doesn’t matter if you don’t have a full team, you just run once but you will get a time to compare with everyone else in your age group. Who ever you are and if you want to run then you need to tell your team captains Becky or Duncan. You need to be registered with the Club and you must wear a Club vest. It does not cost you anything to run, the club will pay your entry fee.

A date for your diary. Monday 24th October. Middlesbrough Running Track. Half term. The track is booked between 7-8pm but you will need an hour either side of this for travelling, getting changed etc. Over the next few weeks training will be organised so you will be able to cope with a session on the track. More details to come later, just put the date in your diary!
