Rob’s weekly blog and training update w/c 20/03/2017

Monday 20th March. Thirsk School. Gym 7pm.

Jody and Andy will be setting something up. They may have a few new ideas as they are both starting their level 2 courses this coming Saturday. Good luck to you both and we wish you well.

Tuesday 21st

Social run round Sowerby. Meet at the Leisure Centre for 7pm for a social run on well-lit pavements around town. I believe a double loop of Sowerby is the plan. Please wear your Hi-Vis.

Wednesday 22nd March. Thirsk. Sports Hall 7pm.

I think this week Peter is expecting to have a few more problems with his bike so has asked me to step in. Please be on time as I don’t much like setting up on my own, I get a little bit frightened no one will turn up and then I will have to put it all back again!!

Thursday 23rd
Social run from Sutton Bank, again meet up and be ready to run for 7pm. Grippy shoes and a head torch will be needed. Exact route to be decided, but will be around 5-6 miles.
A few words from Rob

More new vests have arrived and Andy is answering all your messages on his phone as quick as he can. You need to have your size and money ( £15) and for those running on Sunday, you need to talk to him rather soon. I keep getting messages from different sections of uk atheltics saying how much they like our new strip and they are changing their records accordingly. It always seems to take them a while but as from the 1st April this is our new strip.

Congratulations to Michael Lowther, February athlete of the month. Once again an athlete who beats me gets the prize but I must say he is running well. Keep checking the website to see his reply!!

Zambia. Thank you for your help, your response has been tremendous. All I ask please is that they are all clean. Don’t worry about size, shape or colour, everything is just fine. To date we have 15pr shoes, 60 t shirts, 60 vests, shorts, socks, training bottoms and so on. Please keep them coming.  I have also included 2 cattle halters for the Head Man so he can handle his cattle more easily, when we last visited he gave Christine a demonstration on how to castrate his baby bull calves but this is very difficult to do if they are not fastened up. I’m sure he will appreciate them and Christine is now hopeful he can manage the task on his own!!

See you on Sunday, Rob
