Rob’s weekly blog and training update w/c 09/10/17

 

Monday 9th October.  6.45 Thirsk school. Gym.   Andy and Jody will be sorting us out tonight. It’s slowly getting tougher so we must be getting stronger!

Wednesday 11th October.  6.45 Thirsk school. Once again we will be inside for the first half doing core work then splitting into two groups for intervals. Paul will have something up his sleeve for the inside group.

Outside group ; 5 x 4 mins / 1min recovery.  Please note the short recovery. These sessions are also getting harder. Lets hope it isn’t raining! Where were you all last night?

Last night we had the AGM. A fantastic turn out and thank you all for the support and help over the past 6 or 7 years. Also thanks for the generous  voucher, I’m going to have some pleasure this coming weekend spending it as I need a little something to put my holiday togs in! We didn’t change much last night, it’s the same bus but a different driver. Duncan is now the person with his hand on the wheel. I wish him all the best and I’m sure he will do a great job, he might even be more passionate about the club than I am.

I have to mention the Fountains parkrun. ( yes, again)   34 runners, 20 + helpers, 9pb’s , 6 first timers and enough food to feed an army. Fran became the 100th club member to cross the line since it started at Fountains and Pat almost became the first female harriers to break the 80% barrier. (79.91%)  2 seconds Pat. Check the weather forecast for Saturday and if it’s good go for it!

Christine just shouted. ” Bet Duncan takes his wife out if it’s her birthday on a club night”
