Rob’s Weekly Blog and Training Update w/c 07/12/15

Monday 7th December – 7pm – Thirsk School Gym

Last indoor session this term. RAF circuit I think took the vote and did Sonja say 50 minutes? Maybe not but I bet it’s a big one so be prepared to loose a bit of sweat!!!

Wednesday 9th December – 7pm – Thirsk Athletic Club

Similar to last week which seemed to go down pretty well, hope you enjoyed it. Remember we have the lights once again so no need to worry about head torches but don’t worry your Sunday best because you might just get a little dirty. Did you notice it was a lot harder on the grass than in the Gym? If you didn’t then perhaps you weren’t trying hard enough!!

A note from Rob…

If there was ever a good time to have an injury then I would suggest it would best to have one during November and December, I have never really liked running this time of year and I’m certainly not enjoying the weather. I don’t mind working in the rain but poor Christine does and all we seem to do at the moment is get wet, water proofs nowadays never seem to be water proof. At the moment I’m trying to think of a good reason why I should go out in a pair of wet trainers on Saturday morning in the pouring rain and high winds into Kilburn Woods ( poor forecast) but I know when the time comes I’ll be there just like the rest of you. Sometimes it’s best not to think and just get on with it.

It’s not all bad news because I’m taking the the Grand kids down the back field to cut down a xmas tree ( in the rain!!) and then we’re all going to put the decorations on it together.

At least we’re inside Monday night!!

Have a good weekend and try and stay dry, Rob
