Rob’s weekly blog and training update w/c 07/11/16

Monday 7th November.  Thirsk School gym.  7pm.

Sonja/ Paul.  More fast feet and core work.

Wednesday 9th November.

Thirsk School.  Sports Hall. 7pm ( or just a bit before!)     Again more drills and core work with Pete then spilt into 2 groups. Outside a 10k upwards group with the inside group working on 5k and beginners. Hope you are enjoying it.

Sunday 6th November.

Guy Fawkes 10 mile. A Club Championship race. There are four hills on this one and is probably not a pb course. The first hill is the toughest so it is best to go for a controlled start however it will definitely get your pulse up. I would wait until about half way where there is a long, steady downhill section which will, if you get it right help free wheel you into the last two climbs which are a little easier. Don’t forget the last little tinker just before the finish line, not too many sprint up this one!  There are also high winds forecast for the weekend but hopefully not on Sunday during the race.

A note for your dairy!!

I have just booked the track again for Wednesday 7th December,  7-  8pm. ( Middlesbrough sports Village) We do not have the School this night so it fits in well. A very similar session but a bit different finish. Yes, once more I will have another little surprise for you. You never know, Mo Farah may turn out this time!
See you on Sunday, Rob
