Rob’s Weekly Blog and Training Update w/c 07/09/15

Sunday 6th September – Tholthorpe 10k

A club championship race. Mostly flat but quite a tough little climb at around 8k so leave a little for later on in the race.

Monday 7th September – 7pm – Athletic club

This will be the last Monday at the Athletic Club during school time. Core work with short intervals.

Sune will take her last group before she goes back to Uni once more. Thanks for the sessions and good luck with your studying Sune.

First Aid Course  – 6:15 start – Athletic club.
Tuesday 8th September – 7pm – Athletic Club.

Wednesday 9th September – 7pm – Sports Hall, Thirsk School

Core work with Pete H followed by lung expanders with Brian!!

Outside group after the core work.  3 x 4mins/ 1 min rec.  You may need to bring an indoor and outdoor shoe depending on which group you want to train with. I would suggest if you are new to running then it would be best to stay indoors until you get used to interval training. Which ever way you choose please make sure your shoes are clean for the inside session.

The first week doesn’t always seem to run as smoothly as it could but it doesn’t really matter too much, you will work hard enough as the term goes on. Each week it will get progressively harder. However it would be great help if we all helped set up and also put things away. Most important, let’s try and get started on time.
