Race Reports 10th March 2008

Seven members were among the 68 finishers in the recent Commondale Crossing Fell Race, the latest in the Winter Series, on a fine bright morning with a predictable breeze.  Richard Bellamy of NYM won the race in a time of 36.02, and Rob Burn put in another good performance to finish 8th, and 1st in the V50 category, in 39.40, just ahead of Pete Wilkin, 9th and 2nd V50, in 39.42.  Stewart Mechie came 18th in 42.09,  Cameron Choules 22nd in 43.20,  Alan Wikeley 52nd in 53.14,  Gavin Coventry 54th in 53.17 and Pat Kirby 62nd in 58.25.  Pat was the winner of the V55 category.  The strong mens' team finished an excellent 2nd.
