Race Report from Fran

Blubberhouses 25 – 7th April.

The Blubberhouses 25 is actually 23 miles and is a LDWA event.  Starting near Fewston Reservoir, the route follows the edge of the two reservoirs before crossing over the moor at Rocking Hall to arrive at Bolton Abbey.  After crossing rolling farmland and passing through a well stocked checkpoint we climbed up to Beamsley Beacon and crossed over Blubberhouses Moor before dropping back to the reservoir.  Gavin (first claim to Esk Valley) and I completed the course in bang on 5 hours.
