Race Report 22/10/19

A busy weekend saw several members among the thousands at York for the various race distances on offer round the streets of York.  On a dank, wet, still morning, with conditions good for running, Clare Tempest finished the 10 mile race in a very good 1.27.53, with Andrea Colls taking 1.34.12, Joanne Hunt 1.34.26, Emma Driffield 1.38.30, Sue Low 1.43.15 and Lianne Robinson 1.47.20.  Well done, ladies.

In the Marathon, Adrian Saunders completed his first ever race at that distance in 3.56.59 and was highly satisfied, as were Adrian Elsworth, 4.53.03 and Siobhan Woodland, 6.31.39.  Well done again.

On an altogether different scale, Ian Codling was among the 90 or so for the Pinchinthorpe 5k Trail Race along lovely woodland tracks with plenty of undulations.  He took 40.51 minutes.

Park Runs attracted their usual following, with Ian Codling 310 thout of 337 at Fountains Abbey and Marian Codling 333rd in 42.48.

At Northallerton, Phillip Craig came 22nd out of 121 in 30.50 and at Millfield, Gary Wilkinson was 22nd out of 115 in 24.53.  Among the 160 at the Dalby Forest event, Mike Cropper was 4th in a very good 19.32 and Jemma Cropper came 84th in 29.37.

Rosie Gatenby was among the 289 at the inaugural running of the Jubilee event at Spennymoor, finishing 125th in 28.58.
