Monday 24th August. 7pm Athletic Club.
Core work and short intervals.
Tuesday 25th August.
No meeting tonight as everyone resting up for Sessay 6.    Be prepared for a hard race!!!!
Wednesday 26th August.   7pm  Sessay swift 6k    (Sessay cricket club. )
1 or 2 marshals are still required.  Please get word to Marian ASAP.    This is also a club championship race so a club vest must be worn.

A guide to how to run this is to run at your recent 5k pace (no slower). Once you return to the village main street there is 1k to go. As soon as you reach the 5k marker latch onto the nearest vest you can see and keep your pace going until you cross the line. You should be able to work out you finish time before you start the race, it’s up to you to produce it.  We’ve practised this in training so I would expect plenty of changing of positions in the last k. Be the best you can be and lets have a big smile once you have finished!! We are supposed to be enjoying it.

Congratulations to Racecourse Steve for winning the Summer handicap .  (Steve had a big smile on his face last night and I bet he still had one today) Results will be out shortly.

A BIG HAPPY EVENT THIS WEEKEND..
Clare and Matt are to get married this weekend.
We wish you a long and Happy togetherness….       You are allowed to miss training this Sunday but remember, we start at 7 prompt on Monday night.
Best wishes from all at Thirsk and Sowerby Harriers

Hello club members and friends of the Thirsk 10 road race. We would just like to provide a brief update to inform everybody that for obvious reasons the Thirsk 10 race will not be held in March 2021 however, we intend to reassess the situation in the Spring with a view to holding the event later in the year subject to national and local restrictions in place at the time. We apologise for the disappointment this will undoubtably cause, however I am sure that everybody appreciates that the Covid 19 Pandemic is a fluid situation with rules and restrictions seemingly changing on a daily basis. We will provide a further update in once we have been able to consider matters. Assuring you of our best intentions at all times, keep running and stay safe. The Thirsk 10 Team.
