Message from the head-coach:

Sessay Swift 6. I love pressure and I love competition. Sessay Swift provided both by the bucketful and I guess we have Marian to thank for this!! When you get four of the best clubs in the area using it for their club championship then you are going to get some tough competition right throughout the field. Club running at it’s very, very best. Whether you helped or ran (or both) I hope you all enjoyed it and thanks to all who took part.

Get your entries in early next year because it will be quickly sold out!

I don’t ever have any problems motivating myself to get my mind prepared to compete, a lifetime of competition does it automatically as I do my warm ups. It’s just now that the body does not always respond in the way that I would wish and I don’t know how I’m going to go until the wheels get turning. I must admit running seems to be a lot more complicated nowadays than it ever used to be.

I would like to say a big thank you to all those who sent me their best birthday wishes last Friday, it was very kind. For those that didn’t then no need to worry, I still love you lots and lots!! Christine and I spent the day cutting lawns and getting very, very wet. We had a little party of our very own in the evening. I received a card from the Grandkids on which the eldest wrote thank you for being funny all the time, the middle one wrote lots and lots of love in her best hand writing and the youngest drew something that looked very much like a very large, swollen harvest frog with one big black eye. It was supposed to be Grandad Rob. She drew one almost identical a few days earlier, then she said it was Grandma Chris!!

Cheers Rob
