I now have around 100 names with plenty of maybes. If the night is warm and everyone brings a friend, then we are going to be just a little bit busy. Please arrive early and get your eyes used to the light and to get to know the course. (also, to get a car park and car share if possible) Please, I need volunteers to help mark out from 4pm onwards and course walkers/ marshals to show people around the course from 6pm, registration opens at 5.30pm. Everyone to sign in and to sign out. Bring a mug for a drink, bring nibbles for afterwards, bring some money and please for everyone to help clear the course the moment we are finished. This is going to be the biggest training session at TASH. The events of the night will dictate as to hard you train but most of all, please enjoy it.
If anyone is at a loose end on Saturday morning 10.30 then you could come and join us clearing a few paths for Wednesday night.
THURSDAY 18TH APRIL
7pm sharp, Starting from Sutton Bank visitors centre.
Bring a clean jumper and some beer tokens for refreshments afterwards at Kilburn pub.
Message from the head-coach:
Redcar 5k. Brilliant night for running but just a little bit cold for watching. A big turnout and lots of pb’s to boast about. I do miss not being able to run but also enjoy watching all the hard work that gets put in coming to fruition. Watching someone pushing their body above and beyond and then seeing the joy at the finish, I love it. I also enjoyed the fish and chips afterwards!!
3 months, 3 holidays, 3 different continents. Shortly we will be going to the Arctic to run with the polar bear. This is a trip we have been planning for 3 years, I only hope I can start running soon!!
See you on Sunday, Rob
Note for the diary: Lakes weekend is 15th & 16th November 2019, further details later.
