Message from the chairman:

Kilburn 7 in four hours, why do I do this to myself. Why not sit and relax on a Sunday? After a very poor run on Thursday night, why why why…..
Here’s some of the reasons:

I love running and I’m always wanting to push myself a little bit more
I’ve never done Kilburn 7 and why not give it a go
To meet up with other Harriers / friends

As for Thursday; I know what I did wrong. I’ve been working very long days and was physically and mentally tired. I ran hard for mile one and two, but the heat got the better of me. Rather than drop out I reduced my speed, encouraged other runners as they passed me; then I finished with a strong last mile.
Cheers
Duncan

Message from the head-coach:

HDSRL. Thursday night. It was a brilliant night, but I knew it would be! We are good at what we do so you should all feel proud to be part of such a wonderfully organised team. If you have the will and enthusiasm anything can be achieved, you just have to make it happen. Fantastic running conditions on a brilliant course. Yes, it was slightly warm but dry underfoot and very, very fast. Trail running at it’s very best and on our very own doorstep. Also, against some of the best runners from clubs from a large chunk of Yorkshire. If you can’t compete on your own doorstep then you can’t compete at all. The only disappointment for me was that we should and could have had many more runners taking part. I ran the whole race and didn’t see a single TASH vest anywhere near me. However, this didn’t stop my watch giving me gold medal and clocking my best 5 mile time for 4 years.

See you at Kilburn, Rob
