Hot Racing!

The Victorian 10k is run over a level course and is a good race for achieving a fast time, which Steve Middleton duly did, finishing 15th in an excellent 35.36.  Bryan Miller, more used to being on the fell-racing circuit, tested out his speed and did a wonderful 43.26, vastly improving his personal best time and coming 77th, with Chris Sykes well pleased with 154th in 54.25 and Richard Easby 172nd in 59.44.

The course for the Harrogate Town Centre 10k was much hillier, but at east for both races, conditions were more conducive to running, being several degrees cooler than of late.  John Bishop lead club runners home, coming 258th out of a field of 440 in 51.15 with Ian Codling 423rd in 64.26 and Marian Codling 434th in 72.36.

Craig Lee was at an altogether more challenging event, the Castle Howard triathlon, with a 1500m swim, 46k cycle section and a 10k run, completing the course in a superb 2.50.19.  He finished 39th out of about 1200 entrants, a fantastic achievement!

At the Burton Leonard 10k the previous week, when the temperature was much higher, and the race was held in the afternoon, Ian Codling came 169th in 70.43 and Marian Codling 183rd in 87.22 out of a field of 186.
